Grace of fate...

We went down south of Cairns to help clean up some of the mess left by Cyclone Yasi. We landed in Silkwood – a small town with a lot of damage. During the mass clean up I got to see a brown snake and I believe I drank my body weight in water but I sweated that much I expect it all evened out somewhere. The people were really nice and grateful. It made me realize how lucky I was to have escaped severe damage – there but for the grace of fate go I.

I’m completely knackered, sunburnt and bruised yet pleased I did it as it makes me feel more grateful for what I have.
