“It’s better to die upon your feet than to live upon your knees.”
Okay – hundreds of people have declared this was ‘their’ famous line but to my mind my mother Maureen was the person it meant most from. When I was maybe 15 my mother said to me there comes a time in your life when you have to choose whether you die on your feet or live on your knees. I always remember that. And, I’ll always stand. Thanks Mum.
