  …and I came back from lunch really, really late but in my defense, I was having lunch with a friend so that negates any onus on me to feel bad about wasting company time. Girl Up: Connecting the Dots

Girl Up is a United Nations initiative targeting American girls. I hope they pass it on to all girls in all developed countries. I hope there also comes an understanding of those girls who aren’t as fortunate to live in affluent countries – the girls who are married off young, beaten and treated like animals because of their gender.
