The Zombies Next Door...out now...

Jack Katz is a zombie hunter. Have axe and attitude, will travel. In her tropical home town of Cairns the zombies are getting restless. Someone’s stirring them up for monetary gain.

But zombies aren’t her only problem. Her do-gooder sister is in town, her next door neighbors are weird and three men lust after her body. Then there’s her mysterious mentor Squiggly. What does he want from her?

Excerpt...

“You killed him!” The blonde stepped back from the women with the axe, her eyes were wide open with horror at what she was witnessing.
“Almost.” The brunette held a long handle axe in her right hand as she lifted her left arm and wiped the sweat off her brow onto the fabric covering her left forearm. This humidity is a bitch.
“He’s bleeding!”
Like I need hysterics now. But that was her sister for you. Always worried about mere details. “Yes, now get out of my way.” Her sister scrambled backwards, sliding on the blood covering the floor. “I have to whack him again.” She lifted the axe high and smashed it down into the man’s head. Blood spurted, bones cracked and the sickening squelch of bursting brain filled the air. Her arms ached like the devil but whining was not going to help get the job done. She lifted up the axe and smacked it down once more. Blood and gore flew everywhere. She was pleased she was wearing her usual gothic black. It was businesslike and rarely showed bloody stains if washed correctly.
“Fuck!” her sister screamed and rammed her back against a nearby wall as if it was somehow going to anchor her to reality. “Stop it! He’s dead, for God sakes!”
“Nah, his head has to come off and I have to split his heart open.” The axe came down once more. “And there is no God. These bastards roaming the streets prove that.”
“I don’t know who you are anymore!”
She turned to her sister. “Hey, I never asked you to come and visit in Cairns.” Whack!
“Mum thought it’d be nice if we bonded—Oh jeez! The head’s come off! I’m going to puke.”
“So, go and vomit outside.” She aimed the axe at the chest cavity. At that moment the grotesquely bloodied and hacked man looked up at her, his severed head no longer attached to his body.
“Bloody hell! His eyes opened! How is that even possible?” the blonde shrieked.
The brunette rolled her eyes. “Stop screaming! I don’t have time for hysterics.” She had a job to do. Normally there was never an audience around when she did it. Explaining things to people wasted time and frankly was a pain in the ass because they never understood and always kept asking ‘why?’
Whack! Whack! Whack! The final blow cleaved his heart in two. His eyes closed and blood spurted out like a fountain from his chest. Her sister projectile vomited onto her shoes. “Damn it! I just cleaned those!” It was hard to work when civilians were about. They always whined, questioned and threw up.
“You already have blood on them!” Her sister was shaking and wiping her mouth.
“Blood I can hose off. Vomit requires more effort.” She wasn’t sure why. Possibly it’s an enzyme, acid thing. I should look that up. She mentally put it on her list of things to do after clean shoes and sharpen axe.
“Who are you?”
She dropped the axe head on the floor and leaned against the long, wooden shaft and grinned. “Jack Katz, licensed zombie killer.”
“Does mum know about this?” Nancy Katz’s eyes were wide with horror.

The Captain and Millicent...

So, I wrote Take Me Make Me yonks ago. The rights have recently been reverted back to me due a publisher going down the tubes. No surprise there.  Anyway, the story about Millicent prompted readers who bought it to ask when The Captain would have his own story. Ipso facto and voila! He does....

The Captain had been watching Millicent for a while. Her unapologetic lust for sex intrigued him. She was sexy, beautiful and would soon be his. That others shared her body was irrelevant. In the end she would  belong to him alone.

Millicent is unaware that the man who has haunted her dreams is about to step back into her life and make them a reality. Will she be up to the hot, demanding challenge of the Captain?

Millicent Bradley stopped at the mailbox out front of her apartment. She had endured a horrible day dealing with idiots at the restaurant she worked in. The staff was stupid. The customers were stupid. “And I’m probably stupid,” she muttered to herself as she pulled out the letters crammed into the box. They all were window faced. She did a quick count. Seven. “Fucking bills.” She shoved them back into the box. If she was lucky someone would steal them.  They stole everything else in the suburb she lived in. “I’ll think about bills later.” And later would come soon enough when her power was turned off and the landlord banged on her door. She shuddered. He was a creepy, middle aged man, who lived with his equally creepy mother, who always rubbed his crotch when he was standing before her. Millicent knew what he wanted. Sex in lieu of paying the rent.  Not in this lifetime, asshole.
“’Not ever going to happen.” She sold herself once, six weeks ago, and the memory of it still haunted her. Not because it was degrading to have strange men shove their dicks into very orifice of her body. It was the fact the she had actually enjoyed it which confused the hell out of her. Normal women didn’t do that but then what was normal? “Damned if I know.”
And then there was the mysterious Captain. He was known by no other name and it suited him. The darkly, sexy man had a commanding presence that, even after six weeks, was unforgettable. She blew out a breath. They had only kissed and yet she couldn’t get him out of her thoughts.  Millicent had toyed with the idea of going back to the house on Davenport Street. “God knows I need the money,” she muttered as she trudged toward the stairwell of the apartment block. The elevator had been broken for months. As much as that annoyed her, she knew that was why the rent was cheap. Beggars could not be choosers.
Her thoughts turned once more to the Captain. Imposing, strong and mysterious. Millicent shrugged her shoulders. “He probably doesn’t even remember me.” Undoubtedly hundreds of women had been entranced by him. Wanted him. Lusted after him. That was his cache. The sexy man that no woman could have.
Millicent sighed. “What are we going to do, girl?” It was the question that was constantly in her mind. She needed money. She craved sex. She had nothing and no one. The Captain was the last person she should be thinking about.

 Take Me Make Me...

Millicent needs money fast. There is a certain house on Davenport Street where she can earn it catering to the sexual fetishes of the clients. The mysterious 'Captain' owns the house and there is no boundary he will not cross to please his guests.

Sex is like breathing to Millicent. She loves it. She feels no guilt in what she does. The only problem is she has been warned to be out of there by midnight. But does the Captain have other plans for her?

The Casting Couch...out now....

Caroline has a plan. Teach the man who used her sister a lesson he won’t forget. Sexual blackmail is the answer. Teasing a man to breaking point and then letting him go? Priceless.

Marcus is stunned by Caroline. She is everything he craves in a woman. He wants to learn more about the strong woman who reacts to his touch and yet refuses to be mastered. What is her secret?

That about covers it....

So, I’ve been looking around at photos for cover art as I’m about to make up a bunch of covers for Scarlet Harlot Publishing™ – it’s a project I’m working slowly on in between life happening as it does. Anyway, some of the art for covers is as boring as all get out or so contrived that it’s corny. I did find some photos that I’m contemplating using. I say ‘contemplating’ as some of them are so blatant and leave stuff all to the imagination. One in particular has a man going down on a woman and she appears to be liking it quite a bit…as you do. But how would readers feel about it? In an erotica reading culture where extreme and kink is all the rage would readers by shocked by a blatant photo that is just portraying what’s inside or do they want the homogenized cover? Hmmm…as for the picture above? It’s from an AIDS ad. I think it’s very effective.
