Blind friendship…

A friend swung by this arvo. I was wearing an old, not totally clean shirt, my hair was messy with my specs twisted up in my hair on my head and the chooks had made a mess on the patio – naturally just after I cleaned up their last mess – and yet my friend took it all in their stride and we sat and chatted about stuff and nothing else mattered. That’s real friendship. Things could be at their messiest or least attractive and a real friend makes you feel comfortable. Blind, unconditional friendship – priceless.

Something something…

I expect today to be difficult. I've thought about how I will handle it and it's guaranteed to be messy. It always is when I have to speak my mind and explain I simply will not accept less than I believe I am due. Yes. I’m difficult, unusual, an individual, fearless, stupid, amazing and completely justified in all I do. For a second I had a moment of worry about ‘what ifs’ and can I go back to square one yet again. I can - and when has life never had ‘what if’s’ in it? So there. It’s going to be a messy day. And it’s a Monday. The perfect storm.

Oh, and where is my cheque Ellora's Cave? For god sake just bloody pay me what I'm due. It's not rocket science.

Messy...

You break up with a lover. It’s messy, mean and awkward – so why would you keep them on facebook as a friend? And why would you have a public fight with them that everybody enjoys gossiping and emailing others about? If you kicked the lover to the curb then kick ‘em off facebook…unless you like the drama. Maybe that’s it. Drama and sympathy. Messy…I hope it’s worth it.
