I don’t understand the whole rose petals on the bed thing.
How is that romantic? Who cleans it up? Who came up with the concept? A demented
florist? A frenzied lover? I’m pretty sure I don’t want to go to bed with someone
who rips roses to pieces. If it's about romance, then wouldn’t it be easier if you
didn’t have petals stuck to your skin and having to consider vacuuming said petals
up afterwards? I don’t find that romantic. And why rip a rose apart? And if you do, is your
lover really worth it? Can’t you just love without all the drama? Please
explain.

Do you know? I suspect we have Shakespeare to thank for that...
