How to be a compete pain in the arse and get what you want - by Amarinda Jones ©
1. To get what you want and need you must not care what people think if you
2. Never hurt anyone in the pursuit of getting what you want unless they are complete and utter toe-rags and driving them nuts with a good mind game or two correct the cosmic balance of dickheads versus normal people
3. Don’t accept ‘no’ as the first answer. Everything is up for negotiation
4. Learn how to say no – this is different to number 3 because you saying no is okay as you know what you want and you’re not bloody negotiating
5. Learn to arch you eyebrows and develop a cool, penetrating stare
6. Subtle flirting is an excellent tool. Do it in the way where he’s not really sure what's going on but he can’t say no just in case he is missing out on something good.
7. Persistence – make them want to give you whatever it is you want when they are at the point of knowing that the only way to get away from you is to gnaw their leg off
8. Never raise your voice and maintain eye contact. They need you and you’re letting them know it
9. Confidence - it makes little girls in Tasmania grow up and marry into royalty
10. Just because they say you can’t do it doesn’t mean you have to believe them.
I have a basic inability to settle for crap. It’s a genetic thing. My family always wants more. I have the visible stab marks in hand where my older brother stabbed my hand to prevent me from getting something he wanted. But he’s going bald and I’m not, so I win. Anyway what do you think the purpose of life is? Is it to be happy? To be loved? To get the best parking spot?
Let me know. To me, I believe it’s to drive people crazy. I excel at this. I have the ability to get what I want by slowly driving someone to the point of madness, when they give in and give
me what I want because it's easier. Am I proud of it? Hell yes. I can’t sing or tap dancer or do brilliant mathematical equations so I take my talents as they come.
Quote of the day...
Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
Calvin Coolidge (1872 - 1933)
I just finished reading Lady’s Wager by Georgie Lee – I loved this book. It has spirit, passion, misunderstandings and believable sweet romance in the best traditions of Pride and Prejudice. I thoroughly recommend it. Well done Georgie Lee.

LOL! Oh I needed that laugh Amarinda :D
You are the new modern age thinker. We will be quoting Amarinda-isms well after you are gone.
Excellent AJ as always.
I have that Calvin Coolidge quote on my desk. And its true as you know. Good blog. Happy writing!
Clarification on number 8.... are we supposed to maintain eye contact or not?
Dear, sweet Amarinda, is a real pain in the butt by her own admission. And here I thought she's one of the nicest friends and she writes very hot and very funny books. And I'm never wrong. Look me in the eye. Yes, maintain eye contact and don't you dare to contradict me.
BTW we have that quote framed in the office for some twenty years. Absolutely true.
I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Thanks for the great recommendation!
Great advice!
Hilarious. You sound just like a Scorpio.
My purpose in life is to help others. However, yours' is funnier. And there are certain people where I borrow your purpose and lose mine.
