Where did the weekend go?

We have had the APEC summit in Australia. We have seen lots of world leaders getting together to discuss lots of things, the traffic for people living and working in Sydney has been crap and the usual protesters and ratbags have turned out in droves. Hands have been shaken, deals made and no doubt backs stabbed. What I want to know is why do these leaders have to dress up identically at the end and have a class photo taken? You know that ones – where they are all dress up in the traditional dress of the host country. And no, these leaders did not, as most thought, dress in stubbies (shorts) and thongs (flip flops) as per traditional Aussie male attire. Special outfits were made for these leaders to wear for a moment and then discard. Yes, I get that they all dress up to look the same in a touchy-feely demonstration of being equal but no one really buys that. It’s the Animal Farm thing - we’re all equal but some are more equal then others. It annoys me we waste money on silly these things like this when we can spend on crazy things like hospitals, transport, education.

Someone sent me these standard questions you see on the Internet all the time.

BAD?

10) DOES IT BOTHER YOU THAT SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DON'T DO THEIR OWN WORK?
No, because karma will eventually bite them in the arse

12) IS THERE ABSOLUTE TRUTH?
No, there are just some really skillful lies that we choose to believe

13) DO YOU DWELL ON MISTAKES OR MOVE ON?
Move on – a mistake is just that.

Walk softly and carry a big stick

The Goddess and the Ghost – released November 2007 through Total-E-Bound

Zipporah Scott is due to spend the weekend camping with her niece. Zipporah hates camping. The only thing that could make it worse is the gorgeous guy who has been following her. He is a ghost. So he says. And apparently she is the only one that can help him. Uh huh. Why is it that the sexiest men are always the craziest? And how can one cranky working goddess change fate?

Rian Carmichael is a man that is trapped between worlds. Only Zipporah can see him. What he sees of Zipporah he instantly likes. That he is a ghost does not bother her. That he craves the taste of her does. Rian needs to convince her that only by her love can he live again. However the lady herself is not so sure and it’s going to take a lot of hot persuasion to make her think otherwise.

Despite the uncertainty of their situation, Zipporah wants to believe that she can have a future with Rian. The touch and taste of him is real enough but can he break through the barrier between worlds and be with her forever or are they doomed to be parted?
